Baby Massage Classes

This class is a 1 hour class run weekly for mothers wanting to learn how to massage their babies. New mothers are encouraged to bring their babies for some loving massage time. A demonstration of a baby massage will be done, with mothers practising and asking questions. The benefits of baby massage are discussed Techniques for how to sooth infant distress caused by things such as colic, reflux and other ailments will be touched upon. It also provides an opportunity to meet new mothers in the area and to discuss any concerns about early parenthood. Massage sessions will be followed up by a cuppa and a chat.

Pregnancy Massage Classes

Pregnancy massage classes are 1.5 hour classes which include time for childbirth preparation and discussion about birth. These classes are run in a supportive environment where noisy babies can feed and play at their leisure, and mums or dads can meet other parents and enjoy a cuppa afterwards.

Choices in Childbirth

This is a short 2 hour workshop designed for women who are newly pregnant and just beginning to think about how they would like to birth. It explores the difference between medicalised birth and normal physiological birth and explains why the two most important decisions a woman will make are where she births and who cares for her during labour.
